JOB TITLE: Psychiatric Registered Nurse – Desert Mountain

We have also developed business, consulting and supportive services (such as housing programs) that benefit the people we serve as well as other nonprofits, organizations, government departments and health plans. We are currently looking for a qualified Psychiatric Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team in Tucson!
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Psychiatric Registered Nurse performs tasks in providing comprehensive, intensive, on-site clinical crisis services to Cenpatico behavioral health members in the sub-acute level one facility. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for planning, organizing and directing patient care. The RN facilitates recovery by interviewing, screening, and assessing risk factors for mental illness and broader wellness evaluations; as well as, ensure individuals are safe, healthy, and staying in a clean environment while in the 16-bed, inpatient facility, and will be responsible for encountering services within the Electronic Health Record.
A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, and at least (1) year experience providing inpatient services to an adult population with chronic mental illness. OR, and Associates degree in Nursing and at least three (3) years’ experience providing inpatient services to an adult population with chronic mental illness. Current, active, unrestricted license in the state of AZ as a Registered Nurse (RN). The preferred candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have or can obtain a fingerprint clearance certification. Must have or can obtain current negative TB test result or physician certification and documentation of TB clearance. Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
